What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING, PROMOTING AND PROTECTING THE COMMERCIAL, PROFESSIONAL, FINANCIAL, BUSINESS, AGRICULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL AND LABORING INTEREST OF COCHRAN AND BLECKLEY COUNTY, GEORGIA, AND TO EXTEND AND PROMOTE TRADE AND COMMERCE IN THE AREA.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 THE CHAMBER RECOGNIZED THE STAR STUDENT IN THE HIGH SCHOOL AND PRESENTS THE INDIVIDUAL WITH A SCHOLARSHIP TO THE LOCAL COLLEGE. THE CHAMBER PROMOTED THE LOCAL ECONOMY BY SPONSORING BIKING BLECKLEY, CHRISTMAS PARADE, COUNTY OCTOBER FESTIVAL, AND CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION DURING THE YEAR.
