What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE QUINCY BOAT CLUB WAS ORGANIZED IS TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER AQUATIC SPORTS OF ALL KINDS, TO PROMOTE BOATING SAFETY, TO GUARD AND PROTECT THE INTEREST OF MEMBERS WHO ARE OWNERS OF PLEASURE BOATS, TO INCULCATE AMONG ITS MEMBERS A KNOWLEDGE OF RULES OF NAVIGATION, TO IMPROVE AND BEAUTIFY THE RIVER FRONT.

28 SAFE BOATING CLASSES ARE NORMALLY HELD AT THE QUINCY BOAT CLUB 4 TIMES A YEAR, BUT IN 2014 FLOODING ONCE AGAIN CLOSED THE CLUB ON 7/7/2014. AFTER THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER RECEDED AND THE REPAIRS WERE MADE THE CLUB FINALLY OPENED FOR ACTIVITIES ON 8/22/14. THE BOATING SEASON WAS CLOSE TO BEING OVER AT THAT POINT SO NO CLASSES WERE SCHEDULED OR HELD IN 2014. SAFE BOATING CLASSES ARE PLANNED FOR THE 2015 BOATING SEASON.
