28 OPENING GRAVES, BURIAL OF THE DEAD & CLOSING GRAVES - 90% OF OUR PURPOSE. THE SELLING OF BURIAL PROPERTY - 10% OF OUR PURPOSE. THE FIRST BURIAL IN THE VENUS CEMETERY WAS RECORDED IN 1896 AND HAS BEEN IN CONTINUOUS OPERATION SINCE THAT TIME. THE CEMETERY HAS PROVIDED A FINAL RESTING PLACE FOR HUNDREDS OF RESIDENTS & FORMER RESIDENTS OF VENUS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO IN THE FUTURE.
