Part X, Line 2:	Income taxes - The Cooperative is exempt from income taxes under Section 501(c)(12) of the Internal Revenue Code. However, in any given year, if the Cooperative receives less than 85.00% of its total revenues from "member services" for purposes of the member income test under Section 501(c)(12), the Cooperative loses its tax exempt status for that year. Management evaluated the Cooperative's tax positions and concluded that the Cooperative had taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the financial statements. With few exceptions, the Cooperative is no longer subject to income tax examinations by the federal, state, or local tax authorities for years before 2011.

Board members represent each of five segments of the SKSRT service area; three are elected at-large. Elections are conducted yearly and results are announced at the annual SKSRT public meeting/banquet.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b	According to SKSRT's Bylaws, "The Business and affairs of the cooperative shall be managed by a board of directors consisting of eight (8) members which shall exercise all of the powers of the cooperative except such as are by law, the articles of Incorporation, or these Bylaws conferred upon or reserved to the members." Decisions to sell, lease, or otherwise dispose of more than fifteen percent of the cooperative's total assets in a single calendar year as well as amendments to the cooperative's bylaws must be approved by the membership.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11	The General Manager and Accountant reviewed the completed Form 990. A copy of the Form 990 was then provided to each of the members of the cooperative's governing body at its monthly meeting prior to filing the form with the Internal Revenue Service. Once the Form 990 was approved by the governing body, the General Manager signed the E-file authorization form allowing the Form 990 to be transmitted to the Internal Revenue Service by the accounting firm who assisted in the preparation of the Form.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c	The General Manager monitors and enforces the conflict of interest policy. The members of the governing body are required to disclose on an annual basis any conflicts of interest.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15	Utilizing salary data from the NTCA as well as the cooperative's financial data, the board of directors determines and approves compensation as well as raises for the General Manager. Utilizing salary data from the NTCA as well as the cooperative's financial data, the General Manager makes recommendations to the board of directors regarding the compensation of the other employees of the organization. The board of directors reviews and approves these recommendations.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19	The organization's governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements are available to the public upon request at the organization's headquarters in Riverton, West Virginia.
