What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ENCOURAGE AND PROMOTE CIVIC AND COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES OF EVERY LEGAL KIND AND DESCRIIPTION IN AND AROUND THE CITY OF ELBOW LAKE.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 During the year the Chamber held monthly meetings to inform the membership and general public of what was happening in Elbow Lake and the surrounding area and sponsored speakers at some of the those meetings to keep the businesses and organization informed of events effecting them and opportunities to promote their business. The Chamber also held special events to coincide with holidays and other activities happening in the community. The Chamber also maintains a web site that promotes the Elbow Lake Area and provides information regarding area businesses, services available and organizations in the area.A major activity of the Chamber in 2012 was the annual festival held in August to promote the community. Flekkefest is a three day event held to showcase the community and help boost the economy of the local businesses and organizations. Flekkefest is operated totally by volunteers and includes activities for all ages.
