THE ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS THE ACTIVITIES OF SEVEN LOCAL CHAPTERS: ATLANTA, AUGUSTA, MIDDLE GEORGIA, SOUTH GEORGIA, SOUTHWEST GEORGIA, GOLDEN ISLES AND WEST GEORGIA. AIA GEORGIA SERVES AS THE VOICE OF THE PROFESSION AT THE STATE LEGISLATURE, PROVIDES CONTINUING EDUCATION THROUGH ITS ANNUAL CONFERENCE, CELEBRATES DESIGN THROUGH ITS ANNUAL DESIGN AWARDS PROGRAM, AND SUPPORTS MEMBERS SEEKING ELEVATION TO FELLOWSHIP - A NATIONALLY ENDORSED RECOGNITION OF SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROFESSION.

	The 2014 AIA Georgia day-long education Conference attracted more than 100 AIA Georgia Members, Allied Members, Students, Educators and related professionals for education, fellowship, lessons in practice management. AIA Georgia's Design Awards was held in a new time of year, but still attracted 150 attendees, providing them information on some of the best commercial and residential design projects in the state.

Part III, Line 4D	ADVOCACY - AIA GEORGIA IS THE VOICE OF THE ARCHITECTURAL PROFESSION AT THE STATE LEGISLATURE. WE RESPOND TO LEGISLATIVE ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN RELATION TO THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT, AND HOLD INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS EDUCATING OUR MEMBERS ON THE POLITICAL PROCESS.
Part VI, Line 6	The membership of this Association consists of the Architect and Associate members of the Institute who have been assigned to the Association or who have been admitted to unassigned membership in this Association. All Architect and Associate members may vote on the election of officers, directors and representatives to the Regional Organization. The members who attend the annual meeting also vote to approve the annual budget which is prepared by the Board of Directors. The Association also may admit allied members. Allied members are individuals not otherwise eligible for membership in the Institute or the Association who may become Allied members if they have established professional reputations and are registered to practice their professions where such requirements exist, or are employed outside of architectural practice but are involved in positions allied to the field of architecture. Allied members may include engineers, planners, landscape architects, sculptors, muralists, artists, and others in government, education, journalism, manufacturing, industry and/or other fields allied to architecture who the Association believes will provide a meaningful contribution by reason of their employment or occupation. Allied members do not have any voting rights.
Part VI, Line 7A & 7b	This Association holds an annual membership meeting for the purpose of nominating and electing the officers, directors, and representatives to the Regional Organization to succeed those whose terms are about to expire; for receiving the annual reports of the Board and the Treasurer; and for the transaction of such other business as may be appropriate. All architect and associate members are eligible to vote on the election of officers, directors and representatives.
