The Council uses a salary survey from the Center for non-profit management, which compiles the salaries of executive directors in the San Francisco Bay Area to determine the salary range. The survey classifies salaries in accordance with several factors, including budget size, location, field of service, etc. The Board of Directors uses this information and, taking the Councils' financial condition into account, sets a salary range. From this salary range the Executive Director's salary is established.
