	The Council sends representatives to meet with the Pima County Board of Supervisors and other County and State agencies. The Council represents the unincorporated community by expressing the interests of the resident members by fostering and encouraging whatever appears to be for the good of the community and opposing whatever appears to be detrimental to the community. The Council also sponsors the publication of the annual Green Valley Directory. Approximately 33,000 copies are delivered by volunteers to the homes, businesses, and community service agencies. The Council also established the Preferred Vendor Program as a benefit to the residents of Green Valley, Arizona to have access to prescreened businesses and service providers.
