What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Vermont Technology Alliance is a non-profit business association dedicated to supporting and promoting Vermonts technology industry, expanding technology jobs and technology businesses in the state, and advocating policies that strengthen Vermonts technology business sector. The organization does this by creating opportunities for collaboration and networking, sponsoring programs, events and special projects, and by providing outreach, information and support to government, business and education leaders.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Outreach and Advocacy: the vtTA provides outreach and information to the state legislature and government officials in support of legislation, policies and programs that support Vermonts technology business sector. The vtTAs input led to an economic development bill with several provisions supporting Vermonts tech businesses sector, including the creation of an Entrepreneurial Loan Program that provides funding for tech businesses.
