	The Elks National Foundation provides more than $3.64 million in college scholarships each year through its three scholarship programs. The application process and deadlines vary for each program. All applications must go through a local Elks Lodge before reaching the Elks National Foundation office. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is a resource center for the Elks National Drug Awareness Program - the largest volunteer drug awareness program in the United States. We are very proud of our dedicated army of volunteers who freely give their time and talents to this most noble cause. The Elks are committed to eliminating the use and abuse of illegal drugs by all members of society and believe that in order to ensure a bright future for our country, it is essential that our children be raised in a drug-free environment.

Members or stockholder classes and rights Part VI line 6	First meeting in February, nominations are made. If no one is nominated for a position, nominations are accepted before the voting takes place on second meeting. If a position has a nomination, then no new nominations are accepted. Second meeting of month is when elections are held. These are for Exhaulted Ruler, Leading Knight, Loyal Knight, Lecturing Knight, Secretary and Treasurer. Of theses elections there are three trustees for a term of one, two, and three years.
Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a	All members have an opportunity to nominate and vote on nominations for new board. Members must be present to vote during elections.
