There is a governance and nominations committee comprised of four board members that approves new members and that makes appointments of members to serve on the Board of Directors.
Process used to review the Form 990	FORM 990, PART VI, LINE 11B The Executive Director reviews form 990 with the operational (finance) committee before filing. Form 990 is available to all board members upon request. Management reviews the 990 details for compliance with the organization's tax specialists from its audit and tax firm. Management and corporate counsel review the policies relating to governance, management and disclosure to ensure and monitor compliance within the organization.
Monitoring and enforcement of compliance with conflict of interest policy	FORM 990, PART VI, LINE 12C there are periodic compliance discussions between board members and management. During the year, board members are asked to recuse themselves from voting if they are personally involved in a matter.
Process for determining compensation	FORM 990, PART VI, LINE 15 Executive Director's compensation was set by the board after reviewing an independent, external salary survey provided by the human resources department at DMI. The Board reviewed and approved the proposed salary before it was offered to the Executive Director.
