What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Organization was created by exempt labor unions representing public employees that conduct and support litigation of common interest to members of the union. Having the right to bargain, and process grievences for members and supporting continuing education for members.

As the current treasurer of AFT Local 4019, I don't feel I have been given adequate training for this position and therefore not only doubt my abilities in what I am doing but also tend to forget some of the duties that I should have taken care of, especially in a timely manner. Our union has been getting smaller by the numbers and there are not enough interested people to help in some of the positions such as this. I was reminded of having not filed with a letter from the IRS at the end of July 2015 and yet it still took me this long to get to it. I certainly have not meant to put our union in any trouble by being so late with this filing and I do beg forgiveness of the IRS to please excuse my tardiness and irresponsibility.
