Pt III, Line 2	During FY2014 the Council staff provided a variety of education and training opportunities for thier members. In September 2014 the Council coordinated the first of several training opportunities for members on Value Based Purchasing and Payment Reform which is critical to achieving the triple aim of improving population health, enhancing individual physical and behavioral health outcomes and reducing the cost of healthcare. In September 2014 the Council held a member conference with national leaders in Behavioral Health and Child Welfare followed by a Board Strategic Planning Retreat. Starting in February 2015 the Council, in collaboration with the Regional Behavioral Health Authorities (RBHA's), ADHS, AHCCCS and other community partners embarked on this year long training program by engaging national leader, Dale Jarvis, in creation of an Arizona specific Payment Reform Toolkit. This work is ongoing. In March 2015 the Council held a Trauma Informed Care conference with national expert Dr. Bruce Perry. There were over 400 behavioral health and child welfare professionals in attendance. The Coucil was able to provide scholarships to over 40 DCS staff so that they could attend the conference. They did this as part of their commitment to ensuring service providers throughout Arizona have the skills and expertise needed to provide trauma informed care services. The Council helps sponsor educational programs for professional development and the public that are provided by member and community organizations with which they collaborate including Mental Health America of Arizona, NAMI, Prevent Child Abuse Arizona, Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness, David's Hope, Southwestern School for Behavioral Health Studies, Terros Annual Cesar Chavez conference, Mental Health Guild, Touchstone Behavioral Health, ASU center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy and the Center for Rural Health.
