Form 990, Part III, Line 4a TOTA was responsive to the professional development, information needs, and educational requirements of its members and the public which it serves through the various services provided by the central association office and/or various standing committees, public relation efforts, legislative advisements, public and professional education efforts, etc. TOTA continued in its efforts to advance and improve the practice of occupational therapy for the benefit of the consumers and to anticipate and respond to the organizational, political, economic and social features of the health care delivery system at the local, state and national levels. Annual conferences, continuing professional education workshops and seminars, the Revista Newsletter published numerous times annually, and other programs assist in the maintenance and improvement of professional skills and competence. Additionally they provide a forum for members to communicate with one another about the developments in the field, areas of mutual interest and concern, and other topics of interest to the profession. TOTA also provided Occupational Therapy Scholarships/Grants and Allocations and loans to students of Occupational Therapy.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a All members in good standing have the right to vote in the annual election for the Board of Directors, to receive the newsletter published three times a year, access to the organizations web site, to receive electronic communications regarding such items as details of the annual business meeting, etc.
