What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO ENRICH THE MINORITY BAR THAT REPRESENTS MANAGEMENT IN THE FIELD OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT LAW
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The National Employment Law Council (NELC), comprised of over 600 members nationwide, manages and presents one annual national conference. This Annual Conference is held during the spring of each year, usually at the end of April or the beginning of May. The first conference was held in Chicago in 1995, and since has been held in Nashville, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and Denver. Of the attendees, each conference has usually represented a breakdown of approximately 25 percent in-house and 75 percent outside counsel. In addition to in-house and outside counsel, NELC's Annual Conferences are regularly attended by federal judges, members of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The annual conference enables the NELC to accomplish its purpose through the following: Education - providing continuing legal education programs to enhance the substantive knowledge of the members; facilitating the introduction of practitioners
