Return Reference Explanation
Part X, Line 2: No provision has been made for income taxes in the financial statements. The Organization is exempt from Federal income taxes under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(5). The Organization accounts for uncertain tax positions in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Board Accounting Standards Codification 740, which prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement process for financial statement recognition of uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The interpretation also provides guidance on recognition, derecognition, classification, interest and penalties, accounting in interim periods, disclosure and transition. The Organization adopted the provision of FASB ASC 740 on January 1, 2009. There was no impact on total liabilities or net assets as a result of the adoption of FASB ASC 740. The Organization's open audit periods are 2012+2013.
