What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE UTAH CARPENTERS HEALTH & WELFARE TRUST IS A COLLECTIVELY BARGAINED 501(C)(9) TAFT-HARTLEY VOLUNTARY EMPLOYEE BENEFIT ASSOCIATION. THE TRUST PROVIDES HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR PARTICIPANTS WORKING IN COVERED JURISDICTION.
