LINE 4A ------- SENIOR CARE SERVICES: CATHOLIC CHARITIES OFFERS IN-HOME SERVICES, SENIOR CONGREGATE AND IN-HOME MEALS, SENIOR TRANSPORTATION, AND SENIOR EMPLOYMENT TRAINING THROUGH SENIOR CARE SERVICES. IN-HOME SERVICES ENABLED 789 SENIORS TO REMAIN IN THEIR HOMES AND RECEIVE FREE/REDUCED-RATE TRANSPORTATION TO HELP FULFILL MEDICAL AND SOCIAL APPOINTMENTS. APPROXIMATELY 69 SENIORS RECEIVED JOB TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT INCOME THROUGH THE SENIOR EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAM. LINE 4B ------- COMMUNITY SERVICES: COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS PROVIDED NEARLY 22,185 HOUSEHOLDS WITH EMERGENCY FOOD, UTILITY, HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, AND FAMILY LITERACY EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE, TOTALING OVER $374,890 IN SERVICES. CATHOLIC CHARITIES PROVIDED THIS ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE TURNAROUND (PRISONER RE-ENTRY), AND GENERAL EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. LINE 4C ------ COMMUNITY HOUSING: Housing stability is the objective of the supportive housing programs. This is achieved through ongoing case management that includes housing advocacy, search, and placement; assisting participants with establishment of self-directed goals, budgeting, service coordination, job search, and lease subsidies as well as access to medical and mental health treatment services in the community. Most geographic locations experience greater than 80% of participants remaining in their living units for more than one year and maintaining or increasing their income from all sources. In the larger locations, more than 30% have some form of employment. In 2013-2014, Community Housing served 344 individuals in 155 households in supportive housing programs and include transitional and permanent housing for individuals and/or families experiencING homelessness and WHO ALSO have dependent children or a disabling condition.
