As a membership-based organization, the Council delivers and promotes analysis of key subject issues by experts and coordinates events that promote networking.

	Annual Dinner and Annual Members Meeting The Councils Annual Business Dinner is held each December and is open to its senior executive Members, strategic partners and public officials to engage in peer-to-peer informal networking. The event honors an outstanding current or former public official with its annual Lifetime Service Achievement Award. The Councils Annual Members Meeting is held each spring to discuss the highlights of the previous year and get input from the current membership on its programs and initiatives for the coming year. The organizations Annual Report from the previous year is distributed at the Annual Members Meeting.

	Executive Tours The Council sponsors in-town and out-of-town Executive Tours for its Members. In 2014, Council members visited and engaged in briefings and roundtable discussions at various government homeland security-related facilities in the Los Angeles area, focusing on the seaports and airports in the region. Council Member attendees met with officials from the U.S. Coast Guard, Customs & Boarder Protection, the Transportation Security Agency, and numerous additional law enforcement agencies to discuss critical maritime, aviation and law enforcement homeland security issues in the region. The Council also hosted a visit in the DC region to a CBP abd Science & Technology Directorate-led experimental laboratory that is conducting mobile security/identify capabilities for an airport facility.

	Executive Roundtables, Executive Briefings, Chairmans Briefings, Public Policy Meet & Greets, Thought Leadership Committee meetings, and Homeland Security Industry-Government Receptions. The Council hosts discussions and meetings throughout the year that bring senior level Members together to hear from and engage in substantive conversations and discussions with their counterpart senior government officials who are responsible for the homeland security/homeland defense enterprise. Most of programs are open only to Council members, but some include leaders in homeland security policy from government and the greater community. Invited guests, panelists, and presenters include officials from the Department of Homeland Security, the United States Congress, and other relevant/related Federal agencies, etc. The Council also hosts quarterly informal receptions that further encourage substantive interaction between senior government and industry officials.

In 2014, Council members visited and engaged in briefings and roundtable discussions at various government homeland security-related facilities in the Los Angeles area, focusing on the seaports and airports in the region. Council Member attendees met with officials from the U.S. Coast Guard, Customs & Boarder Protection, the Transportation Security Agency, and numerous additional law enforcement agencies to discuss critical maritime, aviation and law enforcement homeland security issues in the region. The Council also hosted a visit in the DC region to a CBP abd Science & Technology Directorate-led experimental laboratory that is conducting mobile security/identify capabilities for an airport facility.
