VGTI-FL WAS CREATED AS AN INDEPENDENT INSTITUTE IN 2008 AS THE RESULT OF A $60 MILLION GRANT FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDAS INNOVATION CENTER FUND (OTTED) TO HELP THE EXPANSION OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INITIATIVES IN FLORIDA. VGTI-FL HAS DEVELOPED A STRUCTURE CENTERED AROUND THREE MAJOR DIVISIONS THAT INCLUDE CANCER, INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND AGING. VGTI-FL DEMARCATES ITSELF FROM OTHER RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS BY ITS FOCUS ON HUMAN DISEASES AND DIRECT CLINICAL RESEARCH. BASED IN PORT ST. LUCIE FLORIDA, VGTI-FL HAS ASSEMBLED A HIGHLY INTERACTIVE TEAM OF SCIENTISTS THAT UTILIZES STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGIES TO ACCELERATE THE PACE OF DISCOVERY AND FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH OF IMMUNE BASED THERAPIES AND VACCINES. OUR RESEARCH IS BRINGING US CLOSER TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF VACCINES AND IMMUNOTHERAPIES THAT WILL IMPROVE HUMAN HEALTH AROUND THE GLOBE.

THE EXPANDED RESEARCH MISSION FOCUSES ON CANCER IMMUNOTHERAPY AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE APPROACHES TO HEART DISEASE, NEURODEGENERATIVE DISORDERS, AND METABOLIC DISEASES SUCH AS DIABETES. THE REPORT ALSO PROVIDES THE AVERAGE BONUS AMOUNT AND THE BONUS AS A PERCENTAGE OF BASE PAY.
