What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PURPOSE OF THE ATLANTA ASSOCIATION FOR DERMATOLOGY AND DERMATOLOGIC SURGERY IS TO PROMOTE THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE STANDARDS OF CLINICAL PRACTICE, RESEARCH AND EDUCATION IN DERMATOLOGIC MEDICINE, SURGERY, AND RELATED DISCIPLINES. THE ATLANTA DERMATOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION PROMOTES THE PUBLIC INTEREST RELATING TO DERMATOLOGY AND PROVIDES A FORUM FOR TEH DISCUSSION OF MEDICAL AND PRACTICE-RELATED PROBLEMS.

28 THE ATLANTA ASSOCIATION FOR DERMATOLOGY AND ERMATOLOGIC SURGERY HOSTS VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR LICENSED PHYSICIANS AND RESIDENTS ACCREDITED BY THE AMERICAN BOARD OF DERMATOLOGY. THE ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS FOUR EDUCATIONAL DINNER MEETINGS, TWO HALF-DAY EDUCATION MEETINGS AND PATIENT VIEWINGS, AND HOSTS AN ANNUAL MEETING. THE ANNUAL MEETING WAS HOSTED IN FEBRUARY 2014 AND IS FULLY ACCREDITED BY THE SOUTHERN ALLIANCE FOR PHYSICANS SPECIALTIES CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION - AWARDING PARTICIPANTS A MAXIMUM OF SIX AMA CATEGORY ONE CREDITS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THIS LIVE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY.
