	Community Organizing (Outreach and engagement):ACCE Action believes strongly in civic participation and works day in and day out to help low and moderate income community residents to become active in their community and in the issues impacting their lives and the lives of their family and neighbors. We utilize dedicated staff in each of our offices as well as community leaders to conduct daily outreach and education to community residents in 6 counties across the state. Tens of thousands of community residents were reached through door to door conversations, outreach in public spaces, and earned media events in our target communities. Through this work ACCE Action has actively engaged thousands across the state, helping them to develop campaigns to effect policy change.In cities across the state, local chapters of ACCE Action have been working to educate decision makers on policy issues of importance to their quality of life. For example, ACCE Action members in Oakland just won free youth bus passes through AC Transit. In Sacramento, community members have created community gardens in previously abandoned lots. In Los Angeles, ACCE Action parents are organizing to get a clinic placed in a local neighborhood school. Statewide members are gathering and brainstorming ways to increase revenue in the state to fully fund needed public services and programs.
