This process includes a window of time for Public Comment submissions. AEMSA submitted a comprehensive submission of over 100 pages. Establish ERF 501c3 status - First announcement and soft-launch of the E-Research Foundation ERF As part of the 2014 budget, AEMSA members decided to allocate a portion of their dues to fund preliminary establishment of this new foundation - AEMSA is currently sole member of ERF organization. ERF primary mission is to facilitate advancing research urgently needed to educate consumers, the industry, regulators, media and the world in general. The AEMSA 2014 budget included a line item of 15,000 to contribute towards the legal expenses to incorporate, file for 501c3 status, develop the legal and operational structure and bylaws, etc. The total legal bill to ERF was approximatly 30,000 but AEMSA had committed to a limited contribution of 15,000.
