Line 34 - Changes to Governing Documents Housekeeping and substantive amendments to bylaws were made at the organization's annual meeting in May 2015 by the general membership. The substantive amendments relate to (1) termination of membership for non-payment of dues (Article XVI, Section 3), (2) clarification as to how a member should resign (Article XVI), (3) clarification that notice of meetings may be sent by electronic mail or facsimile (Articles VIII and XVII), (4) clarification that directors have the ability to nominate officers in the event the nominating committee fails to do so (Article VI), and (5) clarification that directors have the ability to extend the term of members of the program committee and the membership committee beyond a three year period if in the best interests or the organization (Articles XIV and XV). Housekeeping amendments made changes for grammar (Articles II, V, VI, XIV, XV), gender neutrality (Articles VIII, XIV, XV, XVI), and consistency of presentation with other articles (Articles XVI, XVII, XVIII).
