What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE QUINCY BOAT CLUB WAS ORGANIZED IS TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER AQUATIC SPORTS OF ALL KINDS, TO PROMOTE BOATING SAFETY, TO GUARD AND PROTECT THE INTEREST OF MEMBERS WHO ARE OWNERS OF PLEASURE BOATS, TO INCULCATE AMONG ITS MEMBERS A KNOWLEDGE OF RULES OF NAVIGATION, TO IMPROVE AND BEAUTIFY THE RIVER FRONT.

28 SAFE BOATING CLASSES ARE NORMALLY HELD AT THE QUINCY BOAT CLUB 4 TIMES A YEAR, BUT IN 2015 FLOODING ONCE AGAIN CUT THE ACTIVITIES OF THE CLUB DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. ON 3/06/2015 THE CLUB WAS USED BY GREAT RIVER SKI CLUB TO HOST A FUNDRAISER THAT WAS USED TO TEACH KIDS HOW TO WATER SKI. ON 04/25/2015 THE CLUB WAS USED BY QUINSIPPI YACHT CLUB TO HOST A FUNDRAISER FOR THE QUINCY EMERGENCY CORPS, AN ORGANIZATION THAT HELPS IN WATER RESCUE SITUATIONS ON THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. SAFE BOATING CLASSES ARE PLANNED FOR THE 2016 BOATING SEASON.
