Form 990, Part VII, Section A, Line 5 The President of NCUEA is employed in the education field at an independent school system. When the President is absent from their primary job due to official business of the NCUEA, and the school will not underwrite the cost for a substitute or the salary of the President during such absence the National Education Association will cover these costs by reimbursing the school system or the director. The following school system was reimbursed during the fiscal year for the cost associated with the employee who served as the NCUEA President: Moreno Valley Unified School District $57,999 for President Katherine Underwood. In addition, two other school systems received funds to cover the costs of their teacher to attend an NCUEA meeting: Federal Way Public Schools $3,086 for Shannon Rasmussen and San Bernardino City Unified School District $280 for Ashley Bettas.
