ITS MEMBERSHIP IS MADE UP OF GROUP SELF INSURANCE FUNDS, INDIVIDUALLY SELF INSURED EMPLOYERS, THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATOR COMPANIES, INSURANCE AGENTS, AND OTHER PERIPHERAL BUSINESSES. DURING 2015 LASIE WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO ITS MEMBERSHIP IN VARIOUS FORMS, WHICH INCLUDE: (1) THE ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER, KNOWN AS "THE WATCHDOG REPORT" IS PRODUCED AND EMAILED TO THE MEMBERSHIP THROUGHOUT THE YEAR PROVIDING TIMELY WORKER'S COMPENSATION UPDATES AND OTHER IMPORTANT INDUSTRY INFORMATION; (2) QUALITY CONTINUING EDUCATION SEMINARS TO BOTH MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS TO HELP THEM DEVELOP MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROGRAMS; (3) THE CERTIFICATED WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROFESSIONAL (CWCP) PROGRAM AND THE CERTIFIED MEDICARE SECONDARY PAYER (CMSP) PROGRAM TO TEACH WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROFESSIONALS THE SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED IN THE FIELD; AND, (4) THE ANNUAL WORKERS' COMPENSATION CONFERENCE (HELD NOVEMBER 3-6, 2015). THE CONFERENCE PROVIDES FELLOWSHIP FOR MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS AND PROMOTES THE RIGHT OF BUSINESSES TO SELF INSURE THROUGH EDUCATION. Pt VI, Line 6	The organization is comprised of members. There is only one class of member and each member has full rights.
Pt VI, Line 7a	The members who attend the Organization's annual meeting can cast a vote to elect the board of directors, which is the governing body.
Pt VI, Line 11b	The organization's CPA prepares the Form 990 using information furnished by the Executive Director. Then, the organization's Executive Committee is given an opportunity to review Form 990 and suggest edits before the board meeting. A completed copy of Form 990 is submitted to the board of directors so that it can ask questions or suggest edits before the return is filed. Once they are satisfied the return is reasonably accurate, they vote to approve the filing and the Executive Director signs the efile form to permit the CPA to file the return.
Pt VI, Line 12c	Each year the board membership changes and all members are required to sign a new conflict of interest disclosure.
Pt VI, Line 15a	The Executive Committee periodically reviews the American Society of Association's executive compensation and benefits package and compares that information to our package. Then, the Executive Committee recommends what our Executive Director should receive as compensation and benefits. The board of directors will then vote to accept or reject the Executive Committee's recommendation.
