Return Reference Explanation
Part X : FIN48 Footnote The Club is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Club is subject to income tax on net income from business with nonmembers and investments income. No provision for income taxes is recorded in the accompanying financial statements. The Club has adopted ASC 740-10, relating to accounting for uncertain tax positions. ASC 740-10 prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement process for accounting for uncertain tax positions and also provides guidance on various related matters such as derecognition, interest, penalties, and disclosures required. The Club does not have any uncertain tax positions. The Club files Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax, and is no longer subject to U.S. federal tax examinations by tax authorities for years before 2011.
