	DWLF worked in collaboration with the Illinois Domestic Workers Coalition to pass a new law advancing labor protections of domestic workers in the state of Illinois. The effort included outreach and education to domestic workers, developing a coalition of partners, holding press events and a convention, meeting and educating legislators, and giving testimony at legislature hearings and public meetings.DWLF also supported legislative efforts in the state of Oregon to pass a new law extending labor protections of domestic workers. DWLF provided support in drafting legislation, educating legislators, and giving testimony in the state legislature.

	Fair Care Labs LLC (FCL) - Over the past year, FCL has emerged very successfully as the innovation arm of National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA), an organizaton affiliated through common management. Through FCL, NDWA has been making significant progress towards our goals of shaping the future of the care industry and emerging care markets by pursuing cross-disciplinary social innovations and using market-based, entrepreneurial and collaborative strategies that ultimately aim to improve the quality of care and the quality of domestic work jobs in the private U.S. home.The primary focus of FCL over the past year has been on raising market norms and standards, partnering with the private sector, and starting to build scalable and sustainable business ventures. In this start-up phase of FCL, we have sought to measure success by the extent to which we are able to:(1) Establish and raise employment standards in the private market for care work, which is increasingly being centralized in large, technology-driven marketplaces like Care.com. (2) Provide tangible and self-financing services to domestic workers that will help NDWA and its affiliates expand its base. (3) Influence the future of the care industry and emerging markets, including raising the wage floor.
