Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Peace Action West is a non-partisan membership organization that promotes arms control and cooperative approaches to foreign policy. We serve as a bridge between ordinary people and policy makers to give voice to a public that supports a foreign policy that embodies the best values of the American people. Our families-indeed people across the world-deserve to live in safety and peace. We believe that security and peace are best achieved working with other nations to craft pragmatic solutions to international problems. By mobilizing diverse constituencies through grassroots action and the media we work to: Prevent the development, testing, proliferation, and use of weapons of mass destruction, control the trade in lethal weapons that fuel conflict around the world, and resolve international conflict through diplomatic non-violent means.

	Membership education and mobilization: Served over 50,000 members and supporters through informing members of current events and issues pertaining to promoting a peaceful foreign policy. Delivered more than 10,000 action alerts to our "Peace Action Team", members of congress included. Mobilized individuals by phone to targeted congressional districts in the western states in order to activate members to contact their senator or representative around key foreign policy issues.

Direct community outreach on street corners wherein we contacted over 10,927 people in person about key issues, signed up over 452 new members to our organization, and gathered e-mail addresses to our e-alert system.
