What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROMOTE A POSITIVE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT AND TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN NEWBERRY COUNTY BY SUPPORTING THE STATE AND COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS WHILE MEETING THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITIES AND MEMBERS.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 THE ORGANIZATION ACCOMPLISHED ITS MISSION BY HOSTING NETWORKING EVENTS SUCH AS BUSINESS AFTER HOURS AND A GOLF TOURNAMENT, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS ON TOPICS SUCH AS SOCIAL MEDIA AND HUMAN RESOURCE ISSUES, TOURISM EVENTS SUCH AS THE CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HOMES AND KITCHEN AND CHEF TOUR; BY SUPPORTING THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP; AND BY ENGAGING IN ONGOING CONVERSATIONS WITH GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, SCHOOL PERSONNEL, AND BUSINESSES SO THAT WE CAN BE KEPT ABREAST OF THE VARIOUS CLIMATES AND PROVIDE SUPPORT TO IDENTIFIED NEEDS.
