1	Briefly describe the organization’s mission or most significant activities: Community Foundation of Acadiana was created to improve the quality of life in our region. The Foundation achieves this goal by increasing charitable giving, creating meaningful and effective giving opportunities for our donors, amd providing leadership in our region. These efforts are grounded in the belief that through philanthropy the Foundation can positively impact our community. The Foundation is committed to servicing and benefitting the geographic area of south-central Louisiana. It has positioned itself as a "tool" for individual donors, families and corporations to increase and enhance their charitable and philanthropic interests. It has also positioned itself as a "tool" for other entities (including local government entities) to help realize objectives and/or projects that may need an objective third party.

	Annual Leaders in Philanthropy Event - Each year, Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA) invites the public to submit nominations for its prestigious Leaders in Philanthropy Awards. Individuals, couples or groups are nominated and selected from each of the eight parishes of Acadiana. Additionally, corporations are nominated to receive one or more corporate awards. In all cases, awardees are exceptional philanthropists that have either made generous contributions and/or attracted substantial contributions to enhance the quality of life in their respective communities and in Acadiana.

	Community Foundation of Acadiana Geographic Affiliate Development - CFA continues to expand its reach through geographic affiliates which, with oversight by CFA's Board of Directors, have their own volunteer board of directors. Affiliates utilize CFA resources, infrastructure, and professional management of assets as they strengthen philanthropy in their geographic area. Geographic affiliates provide a unique vehicle to enhance the quality of life for the people in their area.

	Funds raised in the LAGCOE Sporting Clay Shoot support the LAGCOE Education Fund and the LAGCOE Future Energy Professionals Fund. These CFA funds serve to educate the public, the community, and the oil and gas industry by fostering public education and promotion of the industry as a whole. The purpose of the LAGCOE Education Fund is to educate the public and the industry in a manner that will be beneficial to the overall wellbeing of the industry. Such projects include scholarships, educational presentations, support of Science, Technology Engineering, and Math (STEM) schools, public outreach, workforce development programs, and career fairs. The purpose of the LAGCOE Future Energy Professionals Scholarship Fund is to encourage post-secondary education in the STEM fields to create a positive impact on the future of the energy industry.
