Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Pleasantville Fire Rescue Association is a volunteer rescue department consisting of a fire operations division and an emergency medical services division. It provides fire and ambulance services to approximately 130 square miles in Marion and Warren Counties with a total population of nearly 10,000.

During the 2015-2016 fiscal year, Pleasantville Fire & Rescue responded to 321 calls for service with 284 medical calls answered and 37 fire calls covered. Pleasantville Fire & Rescue currently maintains its AED program with the school district and Pleasantville Police. An additional AED was place in service at the Pleasantville High School with a total of 7 AEDs available if needed. Continued CPR classes will be put out for more community training and involvement.Fire prevention was completed with Pleasantville schools and local day cares reaching over 350 students. The program allows students to come to the fire station and be part of a fire safety presentation, look through trucks, and have a snack with the firefighters.Pleasantville Fire & Rescue continues to be an integral part of community events, and countywide projects. Including: Gladys Black Days, home football game medical stand-by, Knoxville Nationals EMS coverage, and numerous other community functions and school parades.
