Briefly describe the organization’s mission: To preserve and strengthen comradeship among the members; assist worthy comrade, widows and orphans of comrades; perpetuate the memory and history of our deceased veterans; promote and maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States. Conduct programs that promote the social welfare of the community life; provide entertainment, care and assistances to hospitalized veterans and members of the Armed Forces.

	Assist veterans and family members with food, clothing, lodging and other financial resources. Provided facilities for various local non-profit organizations, school and active duty military units to conduct seminars, community meetings and provide facility to entertain redeployed military personnel and their family members. Sponsored Veterans Stand-down Programs to provide health care screening for hearing loss, eyes and blood pressure checks etc. Assist in job conducting job fairs for veterans and provided personnel and monetary resources in support of active duty military units and families picnics located at Ft. Bragg NC . These activities are conducted on regular basic.

	Conducted Patriotic programs in local schools in order to promote Americanism and various essay type programs to promote excellency and competition among students. Sponsored local community activities program to assist in collection clothing and food for the needy and homeless. Provided local senior citizen centers with reading materials, gifts and other items designed for comfort. Performed funeral details for deceased veterans, repast for bereaved families when called upon. Provided guidance to veterans in need of applying for VA benefits. Distributed thousands of dollars worth of food and clothing for needy families and homeless during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most of these activities are done continuously by this organization.

	Supply the necessary personnel and financial resources to entertain hospitalized veterans at the local VAMC, nursing homes and senior citizens' centers . Conduct social programs to support and enhance the social welfare of the members, and their families. Review and discuss pending legislation that may have affect veterans and families of veterans. Assist in conducting non-partisan voters' registration and get out the vote campaign. The post commander has the authority to appoint any non-elected member to any position necessary to accomplish the mission of the organization.
