What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? This organization exists to collect and disseminate information to prelaw advisors at all undergraduate institutions and make available resources, such as guidebooks and training, which would otherwise be difficult or impossible to obtain individually. This council solicits concerns and questions from membership of the regional prelaw advisors associations and helps finds solutions or information. The council works closely with the Law School Admissions Council, an integral piece if the law school application process.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 In March 2015, the Pre-Law Advisors National Council met in our annual gathering in Philadelphia with the Law School Admission Council and other partner organizations, as well as representatives from each of the regional associations of pre-law advisors. We reviewed developments in the law market as well as law school applications and admission testing dynamics. Finally, we elected officers. In the fall the council met in Chicago. We again heard from the regional associations and partner organizations. The focus of the meeting, though, was to hear from the committee and officers planning the Chicago 2016 national conference. The conference planners did a site visit in Chicago, created and staffed subcommittees, designed a program, began seeking sponsorships and registrations, and began logistical planning. In late 2015 we opened registration for the conference and began receiving some of the registration fees.
