THIS NEXT CHAPTER IN THE SEVENTEEN-YEAR HISTORY OF THE COMPANY PROVIDED THEATRE PATRONS IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE NEW PROVOCATIVE WORKS AMIDST THE COMPANY'S STRONG REINVENTION OF CLASSICAL AND MUSICAL THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES THAT THEY HAVE GROWN TO LOVE. IN THE HEART OF THE FORT MYERS' RIVER DISTRICT, FLORIDA REP PRODUCES ON TWO STAGES IN THE 100+ YEAR-OLD ARCADE THEATER, AND DURING THE 2014-15 SEASON, PATRONS WERE VIRTUALLY WITHOUT AN EVENING WHEN THEY COULD NOT ENJOY PROFESSIONAL THEATRE. SIX MAIN STAGE AND THREE ARTSTAGE PRODUCTIONS RAN LATE OCTOBER TO EARLY MAY IN AN INCREASINGLY CONDENSED CALENDAR THAT PROVIDES THEATRICAL AND CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES AT THE HEIGHT OF THE RESIDENTIAL AND VISITOR SEASONS. AS THE PERFORMING ARTS ANCHOR IN THE RIVER DISTRICT, FLORIDA REP HAS PROMINENTLY LED THE RIVER DISTRICT ALLIANCE AND ITS CULTURAL PARTNERS IN A RENAISSANCE FOR THE PEOPLE OF LEE COUNTY. AGAIN VOTED THE "BEST PERFORMING ARTS GROUP" FOR SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (9TH SUCH DESIGNATION), FLORIDA REP CONTINUES TO REACH, NOT ONLY ITS DEDICATED THEATRE PATRONS, BUT TO INVOLVE MORE THAN 21,000 STUDENTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE IN ITS MYRIAD OUTREACH & EDUCATION PROGRAMS ACROSS THE FIVE COUNTY REGION OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA AND OFTEN NORTH TO PINELLAS AND WEST TO PALM BEACH AND BROWARD COUNTIES. AGAIN IN 2014-15, FLORIDA REP RAISED ITS PARTICIPATION NUMBERS TO THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL IN HISTORY.
