What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Wafu Ikebana Society philosophy teaches the practitioner "to arrange the flowers that you like--suitably--in a container that you like. This philosophy nurtures each artisan's aesthetic sense while providing the artist with extensive ikebana instruction.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 This year on October 24-25, 2015, the Wafu Ikebana Society hosted their 45th Anniversary Flower Show. We had 100 Wafu members participating in this event. There were 94 local members, 2 Wafu members visiting from Japan and 3 non-member children under the age of 12. At the flower show, we had 10 teacher members perform demonstrations during the two day event. The flower show had 130 arrangements exhibited.

29 In preparation for the 45th Anniversary Flower Show, Wafu Ikebana Society hosted several special classes through the year so that members can learn new techniques, practice on the flower materials he/she wishes to use in their arrangement, and for those members who are not currently enrolled in classes an opportunity to refresh his/her ikebana skills.

30 Living in the south bay adjacent to the Bay Area where their are multiple ikebana schools, some of our Wafu Ikebana Society board members and members join other ikebana clubs. Two prominent clubs are the International Ikebana - San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and the Ikebana Teachers Federation. Both of these groups offer socialization and familiarization of learning each others school ikebana styles and philosophy. Hence, the Wafu Ikebana Society has a few board members in both organization and they have conducted demonstrations at 7 of their meetings throughout the year.
