	Scientific AssemblyEach year, usually in April, PACEP hosts a 2.5-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) at rotating locations across the state. The event is geared toward and focuses on emergency physicians at all career levels and provides a wealth of educational, informational, and collegial opportunities. Program highlights include general session presentations on clinical and professional topics, research competitions for residents and young physicians, an awards dinner, an annual business meeting, and other networking receptions. Scientific Assembly typically draws around 200+ emergency physicians from across Pennsylvania and other states.

	Oral Board Prep Courses and Trauma SeminarIn the past, PACEP has conducted one to two-day Oral Board prep courses for emergency physicians planning on sitting for their board certification exams. During these courses, participants meet one-on-one with faculty to review and practice simulation of oral board exams. Oral Boards drew between 30-60 participants at each course.Additionally, PACEP previously conducted Trauma Seminars, which drew anywhere from 20 to 140 participants. The Trauma Seminars provided up-to-date, evidence-based information about trauma topics of interest to physicians, nurses, and pre-hospital providers, whether based at a trauma center or at a community emergency department. This course provided essential information on trauma topics with a goal of expanding knowledge to improve competence and patient outcomes. It was useful in fulfilling the required PTSF non-institutional trauma-related requirements.

	PACEP News Quarterly NewsletterPACEP publishes a printed quarterly newsletter which includes a president's message, legislative and/or regulatory updates, upcoming meetings, opportunities for involvement in the PA College, and classified employment advertisements. The newsletter is distributed to PACEP's more than 1,600 members.
