	WLCV protects natural resources and public health by working in the Wisconsin Legislature to pass proactive conservation policy and to stop policies that damage our air, land, and water. In 2015 WLCV worked with partner organizations (1) to resist the effort to make the Department of Natural Resources Board a purely advisory body; (2) to continue to fund land protection through the Knowles Nelson Stewardship Fund; (3) to restore funding for County Conservationists: (4) to approve legislation phasing out production of plastic "microbeads" that threaten the Great Lakes; and (5) to thwart the introduction of legislation that would have impaired the quality of groundwater, especially in predominantly agricultural areas of Wisconsin.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 2	Don and Mary Stirling, both members of the board of directors, are husband and wife. The two share a single seat on the board and are entitled to a single vote in board decision making.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	Form 990 is reviewed and approved by the Executive Director and the organization's Audit and Finance Committee prior to filing. A copy of Form 990 is made available to all members of the board of directors for review.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c	The Executive Director collects and reviews conflict of interest statements completed by each board member annually, and communicates any potential conflicts of interest to the individuals involved. Board members who have a conflict of interest are expected to excuse themselves from participation in deliberation and decision making about matters involving the conflict.
