    1B The organization operates a spendthrift store. The spendthrift store receives all of its merchandise as donated goods from the general public. Revenues provided by the store allow the ability to enhance daily lives of clients in residential and day services by providing funds for them to do things that could otherwise not be afforded, such as vacations, needed equipment, enhanced options for learning skills necessary to not only live in, but be a part of a community. Skills such as how to interact with people and how to use services in the community such as banking, groceries, etc. Revenues also help provide for transportation needs, including for those in wheelchairs requiring a lift and van in order to go to medical appointments, community functions, etc.
