	MDAAP aims to improve the quality of pediatric primary care, assist children and their families gain access to quality health care and improve health outcomes through the establishment of a Maryland-based pediatric practice Improvement Partnership. The MDAAP would like to develop a pediatric practice improvement partnership in Maryland that is modeled on the highly regarded Vermont Child Health Improvement Program(VCHIP). Our goal is to form a network of primary care pediatric practices that work together on quality improvement projects. By improving primary care practice, we will improve the quality of primary care services.

	Primary care pediatric practitioners(PCP)are increasingly being called upon to address mental health concerns amongst their patients. The CME program aims to increase PCP comfort and competency in providing primary care mental health interventions to families, children and adolescents. The program is being given in the rural area of Western Maryland where community mental health resources are relatively scarce. The CME program will address methods to promote mental health and improve PCP skill in the treatment of child and adolescent behavior and mental health problems. The purpose of the activity is to provide pediatric practitioners in a rural setting with basic mental health skills in the areas of assessment and intervention. There are limited mental health practitioners in rural Western Maryland and pediatricians are being called upon to manage many presenting mental health issues. Participants will be presented with a wide array of primary care mental health interventions for a number of common problems that can be integrated into practice.

	To improve general pediatricians' knowledge of children with special needs and empower them to work collaboratively with specialists in order to improve care of their patients and improve access to specialty care for all Maryland children. To collaborate and create an ideal health delivery system that would make high quality medical homes for medically fragile youth and children a reality. This course has five clinical modules:1.Caring for Children with Special needs in the Medical home: a guide to providing medical home services & being paid adequately2.Caring for Children who are G Tube Dependent in the Medical home3.Caring for Children with Respiratory Technology Dependence in the Medical Home4.Caring for Children with Complex Seizures in Collaboration with Neurologist5.Mental Health Care in the Medical HomeIn addition there is a brief presentation on collaboration with specialists, and a collaborative agreement that PCPs and specialists can use to establish collaborative co-management.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 6: Explanation of Classes of Members or Shareholder	Members are involved in the selection of Board members and any decisions that impact the structure or mission of the chapter must be voted upon by the members.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 7a: How Members or Shareholders Elect Governing Body	To elect members to the Board, a call for election nominations is sent out to members with a reponse due date. A ballot is formed with the norminations via Survey Monkey (an online survey service) and is disseminated to members with a due date (30 days to vote), reminders are also sent. Ballots are tabulated to determine Board members.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 7b: Describe Decisions of Governing Body Approval by Members or Shareholders	Any decisions proposed by the Board that have any financial impact on the Chapter have to be voted upon by the Board and there must be a quorum. It can be via e-mail or verbally. Any decisions that impact the structure or mission of the chapter must be voted upon by the members and the vote is handled similarly to the ballots for Board members, a majority vote must be reached.
