| FORM 990,PART III, LINE 4,CONTINUED | Education & Distribution (Continued):In 2015, the organization hosted approximately 330 semi-theatrical screenings and facilitated over 1,200 educational screenings for the film The Mask You Live In in 16 countries and all 50 states. The organization also hosted approximately 100 semi-theatrical screenings and facilitated over 200 educational screenings of the film Miss Representation. Social Action Campaigns (Continued): The Representation Project creates and disseminates its messages through education and online communications, mainstream publications, media appearances, speaking engagements, viral videos, and social media campaigns. The organization activates people to pledge to use their voices to spread the messages of the films and challenge the medias limiting portrayal of gender. Campaigns provide people with the tools to use their voice and consumer power to challenge and dramatically change the way gender roles are portrayed in advertising, media, and mainstream culture. Our #NotBuyingIt and #MediaWeLike campaigns provide a mechanism for individuals to call out sexist media in real time, pressuring companies to change how they represent women and men in media, advertising and merchandising. The campaign earned 60 million social media impressions during the Super Bowl, holding advertisers accountable on their biggest night.In tandem with forging new ground on masculinity, The Representation Project moved the needle around women and girls empowerment everywhere from the red carpet to the Super Bowl. Our #AskHerMore campaign, which urges all of us to focus more on womens accomplishments than their appearance, transformed the conversation at Hollywood awards shows and earned 250 million impressions from owned video content. Our #BuildConfidence campaign celebrates, informs, and empowers parents, caregivers, and mentors to model positive self-esteem and body image. The Be a Rep program recruits leaders in communities across the world to organize and implement unique social action campaigns in their local communities. |

GCE owns the copyright to Miss Representation and has licensed the film to The Representation Project for a minimum 7-year period for the purpose of providing distribution rights and public performance rights to screening hosts. Costs incurred by GCE in 2015 for production purposes, including the writer/director/producer fee, were reimbursed by The Representation Project. |
