	The Links, Incorporated established NATIONAL TRENDS AND SERVICES. The Chapter has a long established legislative program called Links at the Legislature. Through this program, residents from several neighboring counties and students from nearby schools get an opportunity to spend a day in Annapolis, Maryland, with the Maryland General Assembly to witness the legislative process, learn about legislative proposals that could directly impact their education, health and well-being and get empowered to advocate for better laws. Attendees engage with their representatives on myriad issues and are inspired to share their lessons on advocacy with others. Further, in keeping with National's vision to enhance a child's ability to avoid victimization, our Chapter has hosted Anti-Bullying presentations for students at Walker Mill Middle School.

	The Links, Incorporated established SERVICES TO YOUTH. The organization implemented a S.T.E.M. National initiative with a robust and exciting program called What's Up Doc that serves students in the Ambassadors Program at Walker Mill Middle School, our service partner. The program was developed and designed to encourage young people to consider the medical profession as a career path, learn the science behind healthy food choices, learn the fun of numbers and to be inspired to build healthier communities. The students are challenged to look beyond popular culture for role models and through hands-on learning experiences they appreciate, as well as understand, the many ways in which medicine and science are actually cool

	The Links, Incorporated established The Arts program. Following National's prescription for Signature programs in The Arts, the Chapter launched Classics Through the Ages: Mentoring Through Arts for students at Walker Mill Middle School. The program, with expertise from the Delaware State University Music Department, offered students learning modules covering visual and performing arts and connected arts to healthy living and literacy through music, dance and reading. Students had an opportunity to meet noted performers such as violinist/violist Chelsey Green with "The Green Project" and world renowned opera singer Soloman Howard, to play or sing with them and to really embrace the power and joy of having their own talent recognized and encouraged.

	The Links, Incorporated established the Health and Human Services facet in response to the chronic health disparities that persist in our communities and result in the decreased life expectancy of African-Americans. Programs implemented by our Chapter supported National's Signature Programs such as HeartLinks to Heart Health and Linkages to Life: Organ, Tissue and Bone Marrow Donation Awareness Program. This includes other expenses that support the programs.
