28 THE HABERSHAM COUNTY ROTARY CLUB PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY FOR ITS MEMBERS TO MEET, ENJOY FELLOWSHIP AND TO CARRY OUT PROJECTS THAT HELP OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR WORLD. CURRENT YEAR PROJECTS INCLUDE FUNDING LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND THE SPONSORING OF A FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT AT A LOCAL COLLEGE; RECOGNIZING CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLANCE AND PROVIDING 2 YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS. CONDUCTED INTERVIEWS AT THE WOMEN'S PRISON IN ALTO. WE ESTIMATE THAT APPROXIMATELY 5,000 PEOPLE WERE DIRECTLY BENEFITTED.
