THESE "SECOND-TIER ORGANIZATIONS THEN DISTRIBUTE THE MERCHANDISE THAT WE GET FROM OUR CORPORATE PARTNERS TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AT NO COST TO THE RECIPIENTS. (SEE CONTINUATION ON SCHEDULE O)IN THIS WAY, THE MERCHANDISE PROCUREMENT THAT WE ACCOMPLISH ON A NATIONAL LEVEL AND THE DISTRIBUTION DONE AT THE LOCAL LEVEL IS STREAMLINED TO GET THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF PRODUCT TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST. THE APPAREL REACHED SOME OF THE NEEDIEST CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND ADULTS IN THE REGION. THANKS TO THE FOUNDATION'S GRANT, POVERTY STRICKEN FAMILIES WERE ABLE TO USE THEIR LIMITED FUNDS TO PAY FOR RENT AND FOOD, SINCE THEIR NEED FOR CHILDREN'S AND ADULT'S CLOTHING WERE FULFILLED.K.I.D.S./FASHION DELIVERS CONDUCTS NUMEROUS PROGRAMS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC. SOME OF THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE:SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIRS: BOOKS CAN DO MORE THAN PROVIDE CHILDREN WITH KNOWLEDGE AND ADVENTURE. BOOKS ALSO GIVE THEM HOPE AND HELP BUILD THEIR DREAM. CARE AND HANDS IN SERVICE WHICH HELPS ACTIVE AND VETERAN ARMED SERVICES MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.OUR ANNUAL WARM COATS & WARM HEARTS DRIVE WITH BURLINGTON STORES AND GOOD MORNING AMERICA GENERATED $3.7 MILLION IN COAT DONATIONS FOR CHARITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY; 300 LOCAL NONPROFITS WERE PAIRED TO PICK UP COAT DONATION AT 525 BURLINGTON STORES THROUGH THE 11-WEEK PROGRAM, COLLECTING OVER 158,000 COATS IN COMMUNITIES NATIONWIDE.
