Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The transaction processing perfomance council (TPC) is an international consortium of computer companies sharing a common goal of establishing fair, objective benchmarks for measuring computer performance in the area of transaction processor (database computing). These benchmarks are intended to benefit the users of database computers, and are not intended to be sold for profit by the members of TPC.
