	In 2015, the Alliance overcame efforts by the U.S. Postal Service to impose a permanent surcharge of 4.3 percent on all customers. The Alliance intervened at the Postal Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Court of Appeals, and lobbied Congress to not make the surcharge permanent. The Alliance also shared important information on postal matters with its members and successfully sought help from the USPS when members experienced service problems. The Alliance worked with the USPS to ensure that future rate cases involve customers and avoid unintended consequences.
