What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO SUPPORT PUBLIC COUNTY FAIRS AND STATE FAIRS IN OREGON.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Program Services Offered by Oregon Fairs Association 2016 Update1. Two-day annual convention serving 250-300 members featuring professional development sessions, keynote speakers, networking, trade show, recognition of member accomplishments through award presentations, annual business meeting, oral and silent auctions, and showcased entertainment acts seeking bookings by fairs.2. Two-day spring leadership conference serving 60-80 members featuring professional development sessions, keynote speakers, networking, and Board of Directors meeting.3. Summer Board of Directors meeting at the Oregon State Fairgrounds that includes committee meetings and information sharing among fairs.4. Publication of annual OFA Fair Dates Book that is mailed to all members. Contains detailed information on all Oregon fairs, OFA Service Members, and Oregon statutes relating to fairs, along with association bylaws, committees, and listing of Board of Directors.5. Coordination of annual reporting by fairs of extensive data regarding their operations, attendance, use by outside charitable groups, finances, etc.6. Monitoring of Oregon Legislature for legislation that may impact fairs; alerting fairs to such legislation and urging that they contact legislators; providing information to legislators regarding the benefits and contributions of fair(including compilation of statistics from fair annual reports specified in #4 above).7.
