What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? ORGANIZATION OPERATES TO RAISE FUNDS NEEDED TO RESEARCH DIABETES AND TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY WHO HAVE THE ILLNESS. THE CLUB IS AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION AND THE LOCAL CHAPTER FOLLOWS THEIR GUIDELINES. THE LOCAL CHAPTER IS A DROP OFF CENTER FOR CANES, WALKERS, CRUTCHES, COMMODE EXTENSIONS AND BEDSIDE COMMODES. THESE ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY ON THE FREE LOAN PROGRAM. AROUND THE HOLIDAY TIME EACH YEAR THE CLUB DONATES TOYS AND BICYCLES TO CHILDREN WHO COME FROM ABUSIVE SITUATIONS. NON PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS ARE DONATED TO LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED.
