    List the foundation’s four largest direct charitable activities during the tax year. Include relevant statistical information such as the number of organizations and other beneficiaries served, conferences convened, research papers produced, etc. Expenses
    1 DISTRACTED DRIVING CAMPAIGN:A multi-pronged approach is proposed this year, with special emphasis on working with high schools in both states. AAA Carolinas presents academic achievement awards through the NCHSAA and the Foundation will be present at many of these events with a distracted driving message delivered through videos, personal testimony of distracted driving victims and various materials such as magnetic bumper stickers and support bracelets. A Distracted Driving Panel from NC's eight NCHSAA regions will be created and used to improve communication with high school teens on traffic safety issues, especially texting while driving. 59,002
    2 TRAFFIC SAFETY EDUCATION:The Foundation will purchase traffic safety education brochures from National to distribute in all branch offices and insurance-only offices, to community groups and schools.
